Hopefully you all had a great holiday..
It's a quiet start to the new year for the team.I'm waiting for the heads to arrive back from Curtis at RFD developments so the engine freshen can be finished. As usual we have a few new tricks up our sleeves for 2009! This is thanks to our latest sponsor Mick Gould Commercials www.mickgouldcommercials.co.uk We thank him for his support and hopefully will be giving him plenty of what he needs from us!! We are also in the stages of getting the car wind tunnel tested for over 200mph.I visited the Autosport show at the NEC and had a very good conversation with Howard Ash at Hertfordshire college.I'll let you know how things progress. Hopefully we'll be up and ready to try and set records for the Easter Thunderball at Santa Pod,unfortunately someone has changed the new tyre rule in S/E. No car on MT radials will be allowed to set ET or speed records in 2009.However if you're on any other tyre you will be allowed to.. All this was decided WELL AFTER the members decided to let the radial tyre in with NO restrictions.Credibility of the S/E ethos is out of the window springs to mind here.. The last installment of the WSR2 diary is now in the new issue of American Car world. Thanks to Steve Wilson and Rich Nicholls for writing and printing the article.. On the business front i've just had a stock of new maraging Glide input shafts from Racetuf delivered,as well as C4 billet servos, billiet transbrake VB's and deep oil pans.Remember whatever you need for the Glide,TH400,TH350,TF727 or C4 we usually have it in stock.A lot of these are parts you won't get anywhere else in Europe.Of course if you purchase a transmission or get a rebuild these parts are built in if requested. Take advantage of the weak £ to $ and have your race trans built here with peace of mind rather than guessing how good your trans will be from the USA. See you all soon..
