Good news and bad news.....

The bad news is that now the engine is stripped completely we can see the full extent of the damage. Everything south of the valve springs is unusable. I guess, as in everything, we knew only a proper job will be good enough!!

The good news is that i've had lots of great support and sponsorship offers from a lot of people, that's individuals and companies. The companies that sponsor the team for the WSR will have a great package of publicity. Not only will they be in print in American car world, but also live from the WSR itself on www.YourWayNetwork.com  There is also a chance of being an associate sponsor of the race to be included with the right package. We are still short of our target and need comapanies to step in quickly for us to be confident of making it to Canada... One sponsor that jumped right in was Brendan Clancy of Nova Engineering Ltd in Essex. Brendan is a racer of many years but not many know his company. They specialise in air conditioning, industrial boilers and general maintenance of office buildings and are Corgi registered(commercial). If you need this kind of service give Brendan a call on 01708 768692 or 07949 154995. The team really thanks them for their support......

We do hope to announce a couple of new major sponsors in the next couple of days.Stay tuned for that. Also stay tuned for a list of individuals that have contributed to the cause...

On the engine front the block is prepped ready for the parts that will be in from www.knightracingservices next week. Then we can start to rebuild in earnest. Unfortunately the Holset turbos were damaged as well due to the debris floating around. Luckily Holset and Martin Taylor from www.taylormachine.co.uk  stepped in and serviced the turbos straight away. Big thanks go to them for that. I also checked the trans and converter just incase there was any damage related to the blow up.Luckily the parts inside are bulletproof and didn't show any signs of damage..phew!!

This weekend will be spent cleaning the underside of the car and the parts that bolt on to the engine so they're ready for the build.Have a good weekend all....ANDY.
